How to delete your data

One email does it. This page explains exactly what happens.

If you came here from Instagram or Facebook

Our Instagram integration only publishes posts to our own account. It does not read, store or process any data belonging to you, to people who follow us, or to anyone who comments. There is nothing held about you from that connection, so there is nothing to delete.

If you have also contacted us through this website, the rest of this page applies to that.

What we actually hold

If you have filled in the enquiry form on this site, we hold what you typed into it: your name, your email address, your business name, your country, whether you are buying as a business or as an individual, which template and package you were considering, how you found us, and anything you wrote in the description box.

If you became a client, we also hold the record of your order and the invoices attached to it.

How to ask us to delete it

Email hello@blunt.hu from the address you contacted us with, and write "delete my data" in the subject line. That is the whole process. You do not need to give a reason, fill in a form, or prove anything beyond writing from the same address.

If you can no longer use that address, write from any address and tell us which one you used before, and we will confirm your identity another way before deleting anything. We will not delete on an unverified request, because doing so would let anyone erase someone else's records.

What happens next

We confirm receipt, delete what we can, and write back to tell you exactly what was removed and what was kept. We do this within one month of your request, which is the period the GDPR allows. In practice it is usually the same week.

What we cannot delete, and why

If you have paid us for work, Hungarian accounting law requires us to keep the invoice and the records behind it for eight years. We cannot delete those on request and neither can anyone else. Everything outside that, including your enquiry, your correspondence and your project files, is deleted.

Enquiries that never became projects are deleted automatically within twelve months whether you ask or not.

If you are not satisfied

You can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), at 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11, or through naih.hu. You can complain to them directly and you do not have to come to us first.

Requests go to hello@blunt.hu. The full detail of what we collect and why is in the privacy notice.
