Terms
Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you agree to it.
Who you are dealing with
BLUNT is a trading name of Andre Blunt Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (Andre Blunt Kft), a limited liability company registered in Hungary.
Registered seat: 1085 Budapest, József körút 69. fsz. 1. ajtó, Hungary. Company registration number: 01-09-451918, held at the Company Court of the Budapest-Capital Regional Court. Hungarian tax number: 32967656-2-42. EU VAT number: HU32967656.
Email: hello@blunt.hu. Telephone: +36 70 329 0754. Email is the fastest way to reach us and it is the address we use for anything contractual, including quotes, acceptances, invoices and cancellations.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States.
This contract is made in Hungarian. The Hungarian version of these terms is the one that applies; the English version is published for convenience, and where the two differ the Hungarian text governs.
What we agree
We build you a website from the template you choose, at the fixed price quoted to you in writing before any work begins. That quote is the price. It does not change unless you ask for something outside what was quoted, and we tell you the cost of that before we do it.
Your quote is the specification. It names the package, the template, the number of pages, the add-ons you have taken and the date the site goes live. If something matters to you and it is not in the quote, say so before you accept, because the quote is what we are agreeing to build.
How an order is made
Nothing on this website is an offer you can accept by clicking. You send the start form, we reply in writing with a quote setting out the price, what is included and the date your site goes live. There is a contract when you accept that quote and pay the first instalment. Until then you owe us nothing and nothing is charged.
Read the quote before you accept it. If anything in it is wrong, reply and tell us, and we will correct it and send it again. That is the point at which input errors get fixed, and it costs nothing.
We keep a copy of every quote, every acceptance and the version of these terms that was live on the day you accepted. Ask and we will send you yours.
Prices and VAT
Every price shown on this website is the total you pay. It includes Hungarian VAT at the rate in force, currently 27%. There are no setup fees, booking fees or charges added later.
If you are buying as a business established in an EU country other than Hungary, and you give us a valid EU VAT number we can verify, we invoice you without Hungarian VAT under the reverse charge and you account for VAT in your own country. Your invoice is then for the net figure, which is the listed price less the Hungarian VAT included in it.
If you are buying as a business established outside the EU, we invoice without Hungarian VAT. Any tax due where you are is yours to handle.
Costs owed to other companies are separate and are always named in your quote before you commit: domain registration, a Shopify subscription, stock image licences, and any paid app your build needs. We tell you which of those you pay directly and which we pass on at cost.
Payment
Half the price is due before the build begins. The balance is due before the site goes live. You get a proper invoice for each.
Care, where you take it, is 19,900 Ft a month including VAT, billed monthly in advance. There is no minimum term and you can cancel at any time with thirty days notice.
If an invoice goes unpaid we chase it in writing and give you a clear deadline before anything else happens. Late payment by a business client carries statutory default interest under Hungarian law. We would rather just be paid.
The build period
Your build period is stated in your quote and depends on the package: Launch 7 days, Business 10 days, Store 14 days. It starts on the working day after we have everything we asked for from you: your content, your images, your logo where one exists, and your answers to the brief. It pauses whenever we are waiting on you and restarts when the missing item arrives.
If we miss that date for a reason that is ours, you do not pay for that build, and any deposit you have already paid comes back to you within fourteen days.
That promise does not cover delays outside our control, such as a domain transfer held up by your current registrar, identity checks run by a payment provider, or an outage at a hosting or storefront company. If one of those hits we tell you the same day and give you a new date.
Changes
Two rounds of changes are included. A round means one consolidated set of edits from you, which we work through together. Further rounds, and anything outside the scope in your quote, are priced and agreed in writing before we start them.
A change of direction is not a change round. If halfway through you decide you want a different template or a different business altogether, we will tell you honestly whether that is a change or a new build, and what it costs, before doing any of it.
If you are a consumer: cancelling within 14 days
This section applies if you are buying for yourself rather than for a trade, business or profession. If you are buying as a business it does not apply to you, and the cancellation terms are the ones set out under Ending the agreement below.
You have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel, without giving a reason. To cancel, email hello@blunt.hu with a clear statement that you are cancelling, together with your name, your address and the date you ordered. Any clear wording is enough. We send you a model cancellation form with your order confirmation if you would rather use that, and we confirm receipt of your cancellation by email the same working day.
A build this short cannot sit and wait 14 days to start. So before we begin we ask you for two things in writing: your express request that we start work inside the cancellation period, and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel once the site is finished and handed over. We do not start work and we do not take payment until we have both.
If you cancel after asking us to start but before the site is finished, you pay a proportionate amount for the work already done up to the moment you told us, and nothing more. We refund the rest within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used, unless you agree to another.
Once the site is finished and handed over, the service has been performed in full and the right to cancel is gone. That is the direct effect of asking us to start early, and it is why we ask you to confirm you understand it before a single forint moves.
Care is a separate contract. The same 14 day right applies when you first take it, and after that you can cancel at any time with thirty days notice.
What you own, and what stays ours
The finished website is yours outright once it has been paid for in full. Your domain is registered in your name, stays in your name, and we hand over the access to it. Your text, images and logos stay yours throughout and we claim nothing over them.
The underlying template design, the code behind it and anything we built before your project remain ours. You get a licence to use them, for as long as you like, for the purpose of running your website. That licence is what makes the price possible. We reuse those templates for other clients. Your version, with your content, your branding and your configuration, is not reused for anyone else.
We would like to show the finished site in our portfolio and on social media. We ask you at handover and take no for an answer without argument. It makes no difference to the price.
What you are responsible for
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use the text, images and logos you send us, and that your site content is accurate and lawful. We cannot check this on your behalf. If someone brings a claim against us because of content you supplied, you cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the claim was actually caused by that content.
Your website will usually need legal pages of its own: your own terms, your own privacy notice, and your own cookie position. We build the pages and tell you plainly what your site collects. What goes in them is your call and your responsibility, and we do not give legal advice about your business.
Keep the logins we hand over safe. We are not responsible for what happens on an account after you have control of it.
If the site is not right
You see the site before it goes live. If we cannot get it right within the two included rounds and you would rather walk away, you do not pay the balance, we return your deposit within 14 days, and neither of us owes the other anything further.
After it goes live, tell us about anything broken and we fix it. For 30 days after handover we fix build faults free, whether or not you take Care. A build fault means something we made not working the way it was meant to. It does not cover a change of mind, new content, or something breaking because a third party platform changed underneath it.
If you are a consumer, Hungarian law gives you statutory rights against us for faulty performance. Nothing on this page limits them or is meant to.
Our liability
We are liable for what we get wrong. Our total liability for a build is capped at what you paid us for that build. For Care, it is capped at the Care fees you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.
That cap does not apply where the law does not allow it: damage we cause intentionally, and any damage to life, bodily integrity or health. If you are a consumer, the cap does not cut into your statutory rights either.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost revenue, or data you did not keep a copy of. We are not liable for what your website says: that content is yours, you approved it, and responsibility for it stays with you.
Nothing here is a promise about results. A good website helps. It does not guarantee customers, search rankings or revenue, and we do not claim it does.
Third party services
Some builds rely on services run by other companies, including Shopify for storefronts, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors and booking software. Those services carry their own terms, which apply to you directly, and we will point you at them before you commit.
Their pricing is theirs, their uptime is theirs, and their availability is outside our control. If one of them changes something that breaks part of your site, we will tell you what it costs to put right before doing it.
Ending the agreement
Either of us can end this agreement if the other seriously breaks it and does not put it right within 14 days of being told in writing.
If you stop the build for your own reasons once work has started, you pay for the work done up to that point and nothing more. If we stop it for ours, we refund what you have paid for work not delivered, within 14 days.
Care ends when you cancel it, with thirty days notice. We help you move the site somewhere else and hand over what you need. We do not hold anyone's website hostage.
Complaints
Tell us first. Email hello@blunt.hu and we answer in writing within 30 days. Almost everything gets sorted at this stage.
If you are a consumer and we cannot agree, you can take it to a Hungarian conciliation board free of charge. The board for our registered seat is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület), 1016 Budapest, Krisztina körút 99, postal address 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10, telephone +36 1 488 2131, email bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu. You can also use the board covering the place where you live or stay. We take part in conciliation board proceedings.
You can also complain to the consumer protection authority at the government office for the area where you live. If you live in another EU country, your national European Consumer Centre can help you take it further.
Which law applies
Hungarian law governs this agreement and any dispute arising out of it, and the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living in another EU country, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. We accept that.
Changes to these terms
We update this page as the service changes. The version that applies to your project is the one live on the day you accepted your quote, and we keep a copy of it.
Changes to the Care terms are sent to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not want them, cancel and nothing further is owed.
