We collect very little. This page says exactly what, why, and who else touches it.
Who is responsible for your data
BLUNT is a trading name of Andre Blunt Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (Andre Blunt Kft), and that company is the data controller for everything described on this page.
Registered seat: 1085 Budapest, József körút 69. fsz. 1. ajtó, Hungary. Company registration number: 01-09-451918. EU VAT number: HU32967656.
Write to hello@blunt.hu about anything here. A real person reads it. We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and we have not appointed one.
What we collect
From the start form: your name, your email address, your business name, which template and package you are considering, and anything you write in the description box. That is all it asks for and no account is created.
If you go ahead: the emails we exchange, the content and images you send us for your site, your billing details, and the invoices we issue. If you take Care, the access we need to the services your site runs on.
Automatically when you visit: our host records standard server request data, including your IP address, so the site works and stays secure. Page views are counted separately and anonymously, described under Cookies and analytics below.
Why we are allowed to hold it
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote, because you asked us to and because it is a step towards a contract you are considering. To build and support your site, because that is the contract itself.
To issue invoices and keep accounting records, because Hungarian tax and accounting law requires it of us.
To keep the site running and stop spam, because we have a legitimate interest in not being buried in junk submissions. That stays minimal and never involves profiling you.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for anyone's marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Resend, a United States company, which delivers the email carrying your enquiry to our inbox.
Vercel, a United States company, which hosts this website, processes the request, and runs the page view counter.
Our email provider, which holds the correspondence, and our accountant and invoicing system, which handle billing and the reporting Hungarian tax law requires of us.
For a client build, the platforms your own site runs on. Those are named in your quote before anything starts, and they are normally a domain registrar and a hosting or storefront provider such as Shopify.
Each of them acts only on our instructions under a written data processing agreement. That is the entire list. If it ever changes, this page changes with it first.
Where your data goes
Resend and Vercel are United States companies, so some of your data is processed there. Both are certified under the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has ruled provides adequate protection, and both also sign the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We rely on both, so there is a fallback if the framework is ever struck down.
We transfer your data nowhere else outside the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted within twelve months.
Invoices and accounting records: eight years, because Hungarian accounting law says so. Contracts and the project correspondence attached to them are kept for the same period.
Server logs: only as long as our host holds them, which is a short rolling window measured in days.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own, and no advertising or tracking cookies at all. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from it, which is why there is no consent banner to click through.
Page views are counted by Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies. It recognises a visit by making a short lived hash from the incoming request rather than by putting anything on your device, discards it after 24 hours, and cannot follow you to other websites. What we see is a count of pages, referrers, rough location by country and region, and browser and device type. None of it tells us who you are.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to processing we base on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not undo what was lawful before.
Email hello@blunt.hu. We answer within one month and it costs you nothing. If a request is genuinely complicated we will tell you inside that month and say how much longer we need.
We make no automated decisions about you and we do not profile you.
If you are unhappy
Tell us first and we will try to put it right.
You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority: Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11, postal address 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9, telephone +36 1 391 1400, email ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, website naih.hu.
If you live in another EU country you can complain to your own supervisory authority instead. You can also take a data protection claim to court.
The privacy notice on your own site
If we build you a website, whatever that site collects is yours to answer for, not ours. You are the controller of it. We set up the pages and the forms and tell you plainly what your site is collecting and where it goes.
We cannot advise you on your own obligations. If your site handles anything sensitive, health, children, or payment details you hold yourself, get that checked properly before you launch.
Changes to this notice
If we add a processor or change what we collect, we update this page before the change takes effect, not after.
